Cold Shoulder, Black and Blue

I am so surprised that I was able to pull myself together enough to get this pic today. I’m trying to make the effort to post an outfit at least once a week. Eli requires most of my time right now, so I’m trying to enjoy it while he’s still in his newborn phase (although I will be happy to get more than 3 solid hours of sleep at a time. Last night was one of the worst nights so far…I really think the whole week of interrupted sleep catches up with me by Friday.)

Anyway, today I am wearing a “cold shoulder” cardigan. blue flowy top, and boyfriend jeans. Not only is this outfit comfortable, the cold-shoulder cardi makes it more fun and stylish, in my opinion. And, of course, I don’t live by the “black and blue don’t mix” rule and neither should you!

Long Time, No See

HELLO!!! I am back and ready to get back in the swing of things with my outfit posts! I hope you missed me. I know I missed posting.

Anyway, today I am wearing pastel…I rarely, rarely wear pastel colors and only felt like this outfit was complete after adding a chunky gold necklace and some animal print shoes!

The Elephant in the Room

I love the different asymmetric lines in this outfit – the ruffles are asymmetric and the bottom of my cardigan falls in an asymmetric line.  All of the different angles draw attention away from anything you may want to disguise.

Faux Fur Trim

I love the feel of faux fur!  It is so soft, luxurious, and warm.  What else could you ask for?  Oh yes, no animals were harmed in the making of this garment.  Now THAT’s my favorite part.    I hope you all agree.

Birds of a Feather

You may not be able to tell, but this flowy, cape-style top has little yellow birds on it.  I’ve been drawn to clothing, purses, etc. with animal motifs, so when I saw this top at JCPENNEY, of all places, I grabbed it!  It is so comfy and easy to wear for any body shape and size, so don’t feel like you can’t pull off the cape-style top, too!  Just make sure you have some shape in your outfit somewhere!  In other words, don’t pair a flowy top with loose bottoms.

Studs, Spikes, and Fringe

I am loving these boots for the fall/winter season this year!  They will, and have, gone with so many things because the fringe adds just the right amount of interest to any outfit!

Floral Pants, Take Two

So, this is the second time I’ve worn these pants, and they are just as comfy as they were the first time!

Although, there isn’t MUCH difference in the two outfits, I think the gray adds a bit more interest to these bottoms than the black top does. What do you think? Which outfit do you prefer?
